Privacy

This is a plain-language summary, not a legal document. It covers what Playground collects about you, who can see it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect, and why

Who sees what

Your self-profile is visible to organizers running the event. Notes an inviter writes about you when inviting you, and notes organizers write privately, are visible only to organizers — never shown on your own profile and never shared with other attendees.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while you're part of the community (returning each edition, or while an invite/referral from you is active). If you ask us to delete your data, we anonymise your personal details but keep anonymous counts (e.g. how many people attended a given edition) and the shape of invite chains, so capacity and funding numbers stay correct.

Asking for deletion

Email hello@example.test and an organizer will anonymise your record: your name, email, WhatsApp, city, country and profile text are removed or replaced, but records needed to keep attendance counts and invite chains accurate are kept in anonymised form.

Ticketing (pretix)

Orders and tickets for the event run through pretix, a separate system that also stores your name, email and WhatsApp for the order. Deleting your data here does not delete it there automatically — an organizer also runs pretix's own data-shredder for your order as part of handling your request (see the internal privacy runbook).
